The QROS Service
QROS firmly believe that the use of the sophisticate instruments used in on-site analytical testing should only be conducted by personnel with sufficient experience and training. As such all our operatives are both trained in the instruments they use and have at least 3 months experience using them. We do not hire out our equipment as we feel it is only too easy  for the inexperienced user to sample a site and produce data that can be at best misleading and more likely inaccurate.
What do you get from QROS?
First and foremost you will have a trained and experienced analyst. He or she will arrive with the necessary instrumentation and consumables for the task. After a short period of time (approximately 30 minutes for hydrocarbons and 5 minutes for heavy metals) during which the instruments are set up and site calibrated, analysis can begin. Within a few minutes from this point analytical results will be available.
QROS operatives are more than happy to take the samples directly but we find that this is not the best use of their time. If samples are brought to the analyst then a far greater number can be run. It is not unusual for us to analyse 70-80 hydrocarbon samples in a day or in excess of 100 heavy metal samples.
Before the analyst leaves your site you will have possession of the day’s analytical data in digital format as either a PDF file or an excel file. All used materials, consumables and any samples that are being submitted for laboratory analysis will be taken away at the end of the day.
Our vehicles have removable sign writing, so if discretion is required this can be removed before arrival.
Our Requirements
As a rule QROS require very little in the way of site facilities or infrastructure, whilst we like a nice warm site hut we are able if required to operate from out of a vehicle and have no specific power or utilities requirements (though access to a toilet is appreciated!).
